AFCEA San Diego Chapter has teamed up with Radys Childrens Hospital to launch the Inaugural Jim Loiselle Awards Event at Dussini Loft Bar on August 26th from 5-7pm.

Join the AFCEA San Diego chapter for our July 2015 monthly luncheon. July is anticipated to be our biggest luncheon of the year. Rear Admiral David H. Lewis United States Navy Commander, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) speaking and STEM scholarships will be granted!

It is with great sadness that we share with you that Jim Loiselle passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Services are pending.
Jim had a long and distinguished Naval career and retired as a Navy Captain. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering with distinction from the United States Naval Academy followed by a Master’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering with distinction from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master’s of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. Jim was an aviator’s aviator. He graduated with distinction from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and has flown 52 different types of aircraft. Jim was also a NASA Astronaut Candidate finalist for the Space Shuttle program. He was an Aeronautical Engineering Duty Officer (AEDO) and served in assignments at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, (SPAWAR), and on the staff of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition (ASNRDA).
