Mr. Tim Bock, Public Sector Chief Technology Officer, Virtustream

Presentation:  Selecting the Right Cloud for your Application 

Tim focuses on cloud services in the Public Sector marketplace and enabling Dell Technologies sales makers to work effectively with the Virtustream Public Sector sales team.  Prior to joining Virtustream, he served as an Enterprise Technologist within Dell’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer and Product Engineering and Development groups.  Tim strategically focused on Dell enterprise, cloud, and virtualization technologies, as well as security and information assurance, Dell’s Modular Data Center practice, and Big Data Analytics. Previous to this role, he served as a pre-sales engineer focusing on the US Department of Defense, where he led Dell’s sales engineering efforts on large DOD programs like the Navy’s Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), Common Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), and ONENET.

Tim joined Dell after serving more than 13 years in the US Army, where he held a variety of different positions, ranging from responsibility for data center operations for US Army Hawaii, satellite communications network management for US Army Space Command, and operational oversight of a Joint space-based experimentation effort for US Army Space and Missile Defense Command.  He holds an MS in Telecommunications degree from the University of Colorado, an MS in Business Administration from Boston University, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.
