Speaker: Jesse Gipe, Pacific-South Regional Director for the National Security Innovation Network
Jesse is the Pacific-Southwest Regional Director with the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN). NSIN is a congressional funded program office within OUSD R&E. NSIN is an unrivaled problem-solving network that adapts to the emerging needs of those who serve in the defense of our national security. We offer programs and services that connect innovators across communities that might not traditionally cross paths. By combining problem-solvers from different kinds of communities, we create powerful and unexpected effects. In his role, Jesse is responsible for working with the military from all services, academic institutions, and venture communities within Guam, Hawaii, Arizona, and California.
Before joining NSIN, Jesse was the Director of World Trade Center San Diego, the global arm of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. Before that role, Jesse was a Senior Manager of Economic Development at EDC responsible for developing strategies to support the military, defense, and tech ecosystems. Jesse is a Southern California native who is proud to call San Diego home.
