Stuxnet and the New Age Of Warfare

March 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm UTC+0

AFCEA SAN DIEGO SPECIAL EVENT STUXNET AND THE NEW AGE OF WARFARE

Please join the AFCEA San Diego Chapter at the University Club atop Symphony Towers, located on the 34th floor of 750 B St. in San Diego, CA on the evening of March 22, 2017 from 6:00—8:30pm for a night of cocktails, networking and a conversation with:

Kim Zetter

Kim Zetter
Award-Winning Author

Covering security, privacy and cybercrime for more than a decade for WIRED Magazine and other publications, Kim will discuss how Stuxnet represents the ushering in of a new age of warfare — one in which a digital attack can have the same destructive effects on target as a megaton bomb. Kim will pay particular attention to the many vulnerabilities our own critical infrastructure and industrial control systems leave exposed to Stuxnet-like strikes from state and non-state actors alike.

The first 50 attendees at the event will receive a copy of her book, Countdown to Zero Day, which tells the story of Stuxnet, the destructive digital virus that was designed by the US and Israel to sabotage Iran’s nuclear program.
