About Tech Talks
Join us for the San Diego AFCEA Chapter’s Tech Talks series in 2026! This program brings together Government and Industry leaders to share technical insights, observations, and objectives that matter to our local defense and technology community.
Mission
Tech Talks are a platform for government and industry leaders to discuss innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Objective
We facilitate seven in person Tech Talks annually followed by a networking happy hour in the evening.
2026 Schedule
Tech Talks will be held on the following in 2026:
- 27 May, 24 June, 15 July, 21 October 2026
Doors open at 4:30, speakers start at 5:00, & Happy Hour to follow. Location and topics will be announced as they are confirmed.
Event Format
Tech Talks offers flexible engagement formats tailored to each speaker and topic, including:
- Fireside chats
- Open Q&A sessions
- Presentation-style engagements (~45 minutes)
- Panel discussions
Each session provides an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from technical leaders on their most notable observations, challenges, and objectives.
Topics
Our 2026 series will cover a range of cutting-edge technical topics relevant to Government and Industry, including emerging technologies, organizational transitions, and technical challenges facing the defense community.
